I went to dinner with a friend last night and finally got to wear the shirt that upset me so on New Year’s Eve.
The trousers I paired the shirt with were a great match colour wise and I could have gone completely monochrome, but decided instead to make those shoes pop.
And pop, I believe they did!
What do you think?
Fab or fail?
I must admit though, I was over the moon that I could wear this shirt after it being so disgustingly tight last time I tried it on.
It makes all the torturous exercise and boring dieting worth it.
I’ve worked out that I’ve lost a healthy seven kilos since I saw this particular friend last, so I’m pretty bloody happy with myself right now.
I’m fairly certain my body is getting used to the smaller portions I’ve been begrudgingly teaching it to accept as a meal, because I was absolutely stuffed after this meal, whereas normally I would have inhaled it and more than likely had a snack afterwards.
I’ve come to realise I really was quite the pig when it came to food.
Speaking of food, the fare last night was simply divine.
Cara & Co is a different type of restaurant concept, tucked into the back of the Cara & Co store.
They proudly claim to use Flemish cooking techniques to deliver dishes that will challenge your tastebuds and imagination.
After last night’s meal, which included elements like Mixed Herb Ice Cream, and Veal Tartare with Aged Cheese and Oyster, I have to say those challenges are absolutely delicious.
I just had to share the pictures of the dishes that were beautifully presented, and consequently demolished.
If you’re in the mood for a spot of fine dining in Sydney, I can’t recommend this place enough.
I will certainly be returning.
